Excellent food as usual. Service was very slow after order has been placed. It is nevertheless a great place to have a nice dinner outside, by the canal under the cherry blossoming tree.
Beautiful food in a family restaurant. Very reasonable prices in a lovely setting with a nice atmosphere.

Such a lovely, friendly place and delicious takeaway food. So glad our neighbours recommended marina when we moved to the area. after trying a couple of other local takeaways, we now just go back to here every time. Thank you!
Such friendly service. The menu is superb and The food is even better. All dishes are well described on the menu, so you know what you're going to get. Lovely, quiet location by the canal.

A wonderful restaurant with attentive staff. Abbots Tandoori provides consistently well cooked food, full of flavour always beautifully presented. The restaurant is always immaculately clean and benefits from having both a main restaurant and a private function room. The owner is always friendly and welcoming and so are all the staff. A hidden gem of the area, if you are looking for good quality food in pleasant surroundings look no further! Note: This restaurant serves the area special of Dave Naan! Well worth a try if you like hot food!
Excellent service and food

Really great and tasty food, good portion sizes, family friendly and now my second visit - which says enough. Plus the staff were all very friendly and also had some time to play/chat with my nephew and niece which is always a good sign. Looking forward to going back in a month or so :)
One of the best "Indian" restaurants outside South Asia. Staff are always friendly and helpful - never had a bad meal there in 10 years we've been in the area.

We stopped by here after our visit to Harry Potter studio tour and it was packed on a Thursday evening at 9:30pm with local families. Excellent food, warm service. Our family (including 3 kids) loved the food. We are quite picky about our Indian food, definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend.
Had an amazing night for my dads birthday!! food was amazing and the staff could not do enough for us we had 3 young kids who made a mess and where quite loud but nothing was too much trouble can’t wait to go back again.. thank you made my dads birthday won’t be forgotten in a long time 5 stars all the way!!!

been coming here for over 5 years and never had a bad meal and you get plenty of it and its well priced
We have lived in the area for 30 years. We've tried all the Indian restaurants in the area and always come back to 'The Village'. The king prawn dansak is outstanding as is the Chicken tikka jalfrezi.Quality, Sensible prices and humongous portions keeps this little take-away head and shoulders above everyone. In all the time we have only had one poor meal. I rang and complained, they replaced immediately and refunded. The substitute food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Fantastic, professional set up. Alex and Dan completely made our party, they offered great advise on cocktails and really know their stuff. Great service from booking to clearing up, worked none stop making literally hundreds of fabulous cocktails🍹 hugely recommend and would book again. Thanks guys.
Alex and Dan, both fantastic additions to my two wedding functions. Not only did the bar impress but the service and ofcourse unique dress sense! Friendly and professional but they also helped beyond their skill sets to help us out of a tricky situation (thanks Alex!). I wish you and your business all the best for the future!

This has become our regular Saturday night takeaway Chinese, the customer service is brilliant and the food is consistently good and flavoursome. They are also happy to make any minor changes to your meal if you ask. Overall it’s a nice Chinese place.

Amazing little cafe! Beautiful atmosphere! Friendly staff and most importantly quality food packed with goodness. For those of us who care about what we eat, this is the place to go. My second time there and I loved it even more so than the first time! The vegan and gluten free buckwheat crepe I had, which they made just for me, it was delicious. The choice of fillings made it super healthy! I will definitely go back very soon! Thank you for your vision and service!
Nice place right by the canal & lovely friendly staff. However the menu is a bit limited, not much variety or choice. The food itself is delicious.

Overall quite good, and little slow waited a long time to be acknowledged although most of the staff were good one member could do with more training. We enjoyed our food so worth the wait. Having said that the restaurant was virtually empty, not sure what it would like at busy times.
Stylish gastro-pub. Had dinner here and was extremely pleased they had a separate vegan menu as well as a large house menu. The food was delicious and served promptly. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. Booking is advised. There is outdoor seating and ample parking on site. There is wheelchair access as well as a dedicated disabled toilet.

I like this place for booze. However, the food, hmm! I ordered the chicken pie, with new potatoes and veg, my partner had fish and chips. Well, my pie was hot, good start, I believe there was some chicken hiding in there, I am not sure! So a sauce pie instead, at least the sauce was nice. The veg, straight out of the fridge, maybe they thought the sun would warm it up, and the new potatoes, in name only, no bite whatsoever! Hey ho. As for the fish, lovely if you adore grease. And lukewarm greasy chips as a side. So, drink, maybe not eat!
Had my first meal here and it was a nice surprise. The menu had some great vegetarian options. I ate the pork and black pudding scotch egg with some pickled beetroot and onion condiment. The egg had a perfect golden yellow runny centre. Delicious. For main I had the Sea bass from the specials board. That was nice. And for dessert a great selection of mini cakes, where one was warm and the ice cream creamy. I will definitely go back and try some of the vegetarian options. (Only thing I would change is the design of the menu)

Stopped off for lunch. This is not the place for fast food as everything we had was obviously freshly cooked. Not the biggest selection of meals on the menu. However, we had the loaded potato skins and a whole Camembert as a sharing starter for four followed by the fish cakes and trio of sausages. Both were beautifully cooked. Also, nice selection of beers and a huge beer garden. I would have this as my local if I lived nearer.
Friendly staff. Good value food. Huge garden. Highly recommended.

We've been living in the area for close to 6 years and this is our go-to pub. We have 2 kids (4 And 2) and they love the garden in the back and playing on the tractor. Service is great too and the pub is accommodating to kids (though not overrun with them). The only fault we have is that the starters have always come out lightening fast, but we always wait an excessive amount of time for the mains. But would 100% recommend the Cricketers - quality spot.
Great food great wine lovely atmosphere and great staff
