Local Chambers of Commerce for WD4. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
Nash Mills Village Hall

I agree with the positive comment below. I think people are being pretty unfair on the receptionists. My husband and I have just moved to the area and registered here. Ladies on the front desk are very helpful, and got us signed up very quickly. We both also needed blood tests (requested by ourselves), which were signed off by the doctor over the phone within a couple of days without any hassle or pushing. (Granted, these had to be done at the hospital blood clinic, but that didn't bother us in the slightest). Overall, a great first impression.

The receptionists seem to be getting a bit of stick in these other reviews. It's not their fault if they can't get you an appointment straight away, so to say they're "miserable" and "rude" is harsh. I've never had any problems here. Very professional Doctor who took the time to have a chat about my T-Shirt design whilst he was examining me. I've also seen the med-students (or whatever the correct term is) and they have always been professional and courteous too. I don't understand the 1 star reviews and I think they seem unfair, based on what I have personally seen.

Vine House Health Centre

The receptionists are horrible goblin people. They treat you as though they are being terribly put out by your requests, that is if they ever actually answer the phone. They have misinformed me on several occasions and wasted mine, and other patients time by booking me an appointment when it could have been done over the phone. I literally dread having to see their sour faces contort at me when i ask a question. Which is really not nice when you ill and you suffer from mental health issues. The only saving grace is the doctors. They are lovely.

Great doctors but the receptionists always seem to be upset. I don't want to feel like I'm doing something wrong everytime I need to book an appointment or need to ask them a question.

FriendlyAnts Limited

67 Matree cresc, Watford WD24 5NJ, UK – 0800 193 1004

Friendly by name, friendly by nature! We used these guys to help us move house yesterday, and you couldn't hope to meet a more efficient and friendly bunch of guys. What they managed within the space of 3 hours was nothing short of exceptional (which included them offering to dismantle and reassemble our beds at either end of the move). I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Kings Langley

The Cricketers

The Green, Sarratt WD3 6AS, UK – 01923 270877

Went here on anniversary and had a lovely meal. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Good selection of wine available. My wife had goats cheese & red onion tart for starter and it looked fantastic. I had pate which was delicious. Lamb & steak for main also tasty. Ice cream desserts took a while to arrive but that was not a big prob. We would have liked more dessert choices. The Cricketers is popular so make sure you book.

Again, lovely food. Fantastic service and delightful location. Don't get here enough! Change of manager hasn't changed the friendliness or welcome. Even Lenny the dog got a bowl of water and dog biscuits... He really wanted the chips!

Toby Carvery Kings Langley TBD

Hempstead Rd, Kings Langley WD4 8BR, UK – 01923 263150

Was good but the staff seemed a bit away with the fairies. But on the whole it was definitely not the worst Toby Carvery I have been to.

The Noor Mahal Restaurant Ltd

20 High St, Abbots Langley WD5 0AR, UK – 01923 260627

Fantastic meal. Great restaurant that serves veggie and fish dishes that you will not find in most Indian places. Top notch.. Cooked with care by people who understand their ingredients... First class.

Visit this Restaurent regularly when working in the area. Fantastic range of meals which are all excellent and reasonably priced. The complimentary drink at the end of the meal is a nice touch.
